Nearly 50 Bus Routes Aren't Running In Melbourne This Morning

Getting a bus in the east or west will be tricky today, with planned strike action throwing CDC-operated bus services into chaos.

Drivers are walking off the job demanding better pay and conditions, drawing the ire of PTV CEO Jerome Weimar.

“It's disappointing that this action will be going ahead as it will cause real inconvenience to many of our bus passengers,” he said.

If a deal isn't struck they'll hold further action on Friday, July 13 and Monday, July 16.

Train, tram and other bus services will not be affected.

"Passengers may wish to use local taxi services," said PTV in a statement on its website.
