Detectives have released photos of a man in his late eighties, accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her fifties on a Melbourne train last week.
The woman says she was heading into the city on the Cranbourne line on Wednesday October 11 when the man, who had hopped on a short time before at Oakleigh, attacked her.
The alleged assault occurred between Carnegie and Caulfield stations between 9:05am and 9:25am.
The man then got off at Richmond Station and boarded another city loop train.
At the time he was wearing a charcoal-coloured business jacket, a white and blue shirt, grey trousers and grey and white runners.
He's described as 162cm tall with glasses, unshaven with short white hair and a distinctive mark on his left cheek.
