Two Brothers Make A Citizens Arrest In Pascoe Vale

Two brave members of the public have made a citizens arrest in Pascoe Vale after a dramatic car crash last night.

An allegedly stolen Mitsubishi Outlander struck a parked car and then an oncoming vehicle on Landells Road around 10pm and rolled on its side, trapping two men inside.

That's when brothers Phil and Jamil came out to see what was happening and helped the suspect pair from the car, who then tried to do a runner.

The fit guys gave chase though, catching the two men from Bendigo, and holding them until police had arrived. Jamil lost both of his slippers in the process.

A 29-year-old Bendigo man, and his passenger, a 42-year-old Golden Square man, were both taken to hospital under police guard. The driver turned out to be an unaccompanied learner failing to display ‘L’ plates. He also tested positive to a preliminary oral fluid test.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 53-year-old man, was taken to hospital as a precaution.
