Police are appealing for information after two homes were broken into at Crescent Head last night.

Just before 10pm on Sunday, residents on Kinchela Street, Crescent Head, awoke to two men breaking into their house.

The 55-year-old man and 50-year-old woman called out at to the men, who stole two handbags, a wallet and keys before fleeing on foot. A short time later, a noisy vehicle was heard to start close by and drive off.

Then about 7am today, a man from another house located on Kinchela Street, attended Kempsey Police Station to report a break and enter, his keys, wallet and utility allegedly stolen.

Following inquiries, officers from Mid North Coast Police District located the stolen vehicle, burnt out in South Kempsey.

No one was injured during either incident and the cases are believed to be related.

The two men are believed to be about 183cm and 170cm tall, with a medium build. They had their faces and hands covered and were dressed in all black.
