Premier in town to make the announcement

Fisherman's Wharf for Port Macquarie

The state government committed to Port Macquarie, yesterday announcing 2.8 million dollars going to a new project

The Fisherman's wharf project will hopefully be an economic boon, with a boardwalk, public wharf, unloading jetty and moorings.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian was flanked by local MP Leslie Williams and Mayor Peta Pinson at the site - the former Hastings River Fisherman's Co-op.

Ms Williams says its set to see a boost for tourism and commercial fishing.
