UPDATE 10AM:

The SES is expected to issue a final flood warning for the Hastings River at Kindee soon, after waters peaked below minor flood levels (2.59m) at Kindee around 8 this morning.

Mid North Coast Incident Controller Tony Day says they don't expect any more flood or storm-related problems on the Hastings, given the rain expected for the region has moved offshore.

Between yesterday and today, SES crews have attended to 38 callouts for incidents such as stormwater damage and fallen trees in the Port Macquarie-Hastings area, though no flood rescues.

Mr Day says seven jobs are outstanding as of 10AM, and an additional SES team has been called in to help with complex jobs. They're asking for residents patience.

For emergency assistance call 132 500.

Flood watch for the Macleay and Nambucca (minor) and Hastings (minor to moderate) remain in place.

4AM: The Bureau of Meteorology has predicted that the Hastings River will reach 3.10 metres at the Kindee gauge later this morning on the 16th March 2017. This will cause minor flooding in low lying areas in the upper Hastings River.

The River height at the Kindee gauge was 2.02 and rising at 12 this morning.

"Flood water may start to come across low lying roads, bridges and causeways - it may inundate low lying properties in the area," the SES Mid North Coast Region reported at 4 this morning.

Should river heights continue to rise residents need to consider the impact of potential isolation.

The NSW SES recommends the following actions:

 Impacted residents should be aware of possible isolation that could affect their work, family and educational commitments.
 If your property is at risk of inundation, please raise moveable items, such as furniture, as high as possible onto benches or tables, placing electrical items on top.
 If you live in a low-lying area and are advised by an emergency services officer to evacuate, please do so.
 Secure outside belongings and before leaving; turn off the power, water and take essential medicines and clothes with you.

Up to 135 mm of rain has been observed during the past 24 hours to 3am today over the Hastings catchment. Further rainfall is forecast for the next 48 hours.
