Police have appealed to the community for information after an act of indecency was witnessed at Flynn's beach late last year.

About 1pm on Saturday December 10, police have been told, a member of the public observed the act of indecency at the Beach.

The witness reported the incident to a Lifeguard.

When the Lifeguard approached the alleged offender he left the beach a short time later.

That man was described to police as having a tanned complexion, about 60-years-old and between 160cm and 170cm tall.

He was wearing brief blue swimmers and had white zinc on his face.

Police from Mid North Coast Local Area Command have appealed for the witness who spoke to the Lifeguard or anyone with information about the incident to come forward and contact Port Macquarie Police Station on 02 6583 0199 or Crime Stoppers.
