Two people have been injured, one critically, after a 4WD rolled north of Port Macquarie yesterday morning.

Just before midday the male driver thought to be in his late 30's left the Pacific Highway at Heron's Creek and rolled several times.

He was trapped for 30 minutes before being released, and has now been airlifted to John Hunter Hospital with critical injuries.

Meantime a woman is reported to be in a stable condition, while 3 boys in the back fortunately escaped injury.
