The Mid North Coast local health district is inviting people concerned about the provision of mental health services in the region to have a seat at the table.

They're looking for people to join the Mental Health Consumer Advisory Group, which meets twice a month to provide input into planning, review draft and existing policies and procedures, and consult on improved involvement of consumers and carers in services.

The group was established in December 2015 and provides a way for people with a lived experience of mental illness to shape the services they can access.

Applications are encouraged from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from culturally diverse backgrounds, and people with disabilities.

Anyone interested in being a member of the Mental Health Consumer Advisory Group will be asked to complete an application. Applications close Friday, 17 February.

For more information or to request an application form please send an email to the Mental Health Consumer Partnership Coordinator Nicholas Kosseris at [email protected] or phone Mr Kosseris on 6588 2997.
