The Mid North Coast's in for a scorcher today, with the Bureau of Meteorology tipping the mercury will hit 31 degrees in Kempsey.
According to the Weather Bureau's data, that's a good 9 degrees above the average maximum temperature for August.
Nambucca Heads residents will also be feeling the heat, with an even 30 degrees predicted for the area.
It's off the back of the Mid North Coast forecast district recording its hottest July in 50 years.
It'll be windy today too, with a strong marine wind warning in place for the Macquarie and Coffs Coasts.
