More cash to dredge MNC ports
State commits $8m over 4 years
A helping hand for councils needing to dredge ports at Laurieton, South West Rocks and Port Macquarie, as the state government's committing $8 million towards the cost of works.
That sum will be handed out across four years, with $6 million of it going to the Rescuing Our Waterways program, to get sand and muck out of the spots.
It's in a bid to make maritime access safer across ports and harbours owned by the New South Wales Government, under the new NSW Coastal Dredging Strategy.
