Several rescues took place in the Hastings yesterday, as the river peaked at moderate flood levels at both Wauchope and Kindee.

Late in the afternoon, the Wauchope and Port Macquarie SES Units and RFS Helicopter rescued two people whose car had become stuck in floodwaters on Hacks ferry Road, Telegraph Point (Above).

Later the Westpac helicopter rescued a man who'd become isolated by floodwaters at Upper Rollands Plains. Isolation advice was also issued for residents of Rawdon Island and Port Macquarie's North Shore.

Meanwhile the Wauchope SES Unit says its referred reports of people entering floodwaters at Rocks Ferry to police.

Both the settlement point and Hibbard ferries are in action today. Yesterday the settlement point ferry was briefly out of action when a log became stuck across the cables.

Motorists in the Mid North Coast are being reminded to take care on our roads across today and not to drive through floodwaters.

In the Kempsey shire, Armidale road remains closed from bellbrook road following a landslip yesterday, while several bridges over the macleay river are not expected to open until later today.

On the pacific highway, speed has been reduced at Coopernook south of the Camden haven, where the road surface is uneven following the rains.
