Leslie Williams (Far left) and Adam Marshall (second from left) appear with organising committee members of the Beatlesfest at Westport Park this morning.

The NSW government will back two tourism events in the Hastings to the tune of $25,000.

Minister for Tourism and Major Events first joined Port Macquarie MP Leslie Williams at Ricardoes Tomatoes to announce a $5,000 grant to this year's Beatles festival which starts tomorrow at Westport Park.

"We've just celebrated the Tamworth Country Music Festival, and it started not that long ago they same way the Beatlesfest has with a small dedicated group of people. There's no reason why this festival couldn't grow to a similar scale."

Beyond the funding, Mr Marshall said Destination NSW will continue to work with the Beatlesfest committee on marketing the event outside the region.

"The Beatlesfest is really only in its infancy when you think about how long others like Tastings on Hastings have been around for, and as a government we understand when festivals are growing they do need our support."

Later in the morning, Mr Marshall committed $20,000 to the 2017 Tastings on Hastings festival.

"The funding this year has doubled for Tastings on Hastings in recognition of the fact it's a large-scale event, but also recognising there is so much capacity for it to grow even further," MR Marshall said.

"When you've got events that continue to grow, (tourists' visits) might stretch into days. We want people to stay for week if they can, and that's why this funding is critical, because it gives the organising committee certainty about its budgets."

The funding is being provided under the 2017 Flagship Event Fund.
