The Australian Bureau of Statistics has released an update on the same-sex marriage postal vote count, with at least 10 million Australians participating in the survey so far.

This accounts for 62.5 per cent of the eligible population to vote.

Approximately 800,000 postal ballots were returned in the last week, with the ABS advising that this number has been tallied based on the bulk containers of forms returned and not an individual vote count.
