A terrifying experience for passengers on an Air Asia flight travelling from the Gold Coast to Malaysia on Monday night, the plane forced to make an emergency landing at Brisbane airport shortly after take off, after loud bangs were heard and sparks were seen coming from one of the engines. 

The flight landed safely in Brisbane just after 11pm and all 359 passengers and crew on board were uninjured. 

A couple of dead birds were found on the runway, it's believed they may have met their fate in the engine, causing all the ruckus.
