Police have told a court that three people died over the weekend from overdoses suspected due to a so-called "bad batch" of MDMA.

A 30-year-old man from a Melbourne address has been charged with traffic and possession of MDMA and possession proceeds of crime.

The Herald Sun report that Police told the court they could only link the man to one non-fatal incident.

He was granted bail today.
