One of the streakers who interrupted a Big Bash League match at the Sydney Cricket Ground was being chased by a number of NRL clubs, The Daily Telegraph has revealed.

Former NRL player and current assistant coach at Wests Tigers, Paul Stringer says he saw streaker Chad Sharp play back when he was coach of Wyong.

“One of the best players I’ve seen and coached who never went on to the NRL,” Stringer told The Daily Telegraph.

“I had scouts ringing me about Chad for a couple of years, but he never wanted to play [in the NRL].”

The fleet-footed, tattooed Chad managed to dodge several security guards as he ran in opposite direction to his accomplice onto the field midway through the Sydney Sixers vs. Sydney Thunder derby. Watch the video below.

He even managed to pull a stump out of the ground before they were apprehended in front of the near-40,000 strong crowd at the SCG.
