Blooper Newsreader 'Sacked', ABC Slammed For Overreacting
#PutYourBloopersOut
The ABC is under fire after apparently sacking casual newsreader Natasha Exelby, after her blooper video went viral.
Exelby was caught day dreaming when the camera cut back to her mid-bulletin:
Fellow journos and other big names have started tweeting in solidarity. Many of them have been using the hashtag #PutYourBloopersOut.
There's now an online petition in support of Exelby. In just 8 hours, more than 2,000 people have signed it.
The ABC is defending its decision, telling Fairfax Exelby was a casual employee.
“She has been booked for occasional on-air shifts when needed, and also does other occasional shifts for the ABC News channel”
