We're all thinking of Queenslanders living in the South-East of the state today.

Severe weather warnings have been issued and 122mm has already fallen in 3 hours at Aspley, with a whopping 135mm at Alderley.

Firefighters have reportedly rushed to save three people in floodwaters.

The advice is IF IT's FLOODED, FORGET IT.

The Queensland Police Deputy Commissioner Steve Gollschewski feels the public isn’t listening.

"It's really important we get the messaging out there that people need to take heed of our warnings."

"Unfortunately we are seeing some instances of people driving though water already, even in the Brisbane area. We have to remind people this is early days yet, it's going to get worse. The places that normally flood will continue to flood."

Thankfully the severe thunderstorm warning has been cancelled, but a severe weather warning is still in place:

FLIGHT INFORMATION:

Jetstar flights to and from Brisbane and the Gold Coast have not currently been affected by the weather.

A spokeswoman from Jetstar has said, “all of our scheduled services will operate to and from Brisbane and Gold Coast today, unless otherwise advised."

“We will be sending direct SMS to customers with existing bookings to/from Brisbane or Gold Coast for today with options.”
