The death of a Victorian baby left alone in a car could lead to alerts being built into restraints to help stressed or sleep deprived parents remember their child is still in the car.

That's the recommendation from Victoria's Coroner, after the death of Noah Zunde in February 2015.Noah was 21 months when he died from heatstroke after he was inadvertently left in the family car by his mother.

The Coronoer has asked Standards Australia review whether hard wired safety features could be explored.
