International cricketer Chris Gayle has been awarded $300,000 for being defamed by Fairfax media.

Articles published in January 2016 claimed the sportsman exposted himself to a team massage therapist. However, in 2017 a NSW Supreme Court jury found Fairfax has not established whether the incident occurer. It also found Fairfax was motivated by malice.

Justice Lucy McCallum is hand down her decision on Gayle's damages award on Monday, awarding him $300,000.
