A recall warning has been issued by Coles after concerns that there may be the "potential presence of metal fragments" inside an ice cream stocked by the supermarket.

The Coles Mini Classics Vanilla Ice Cream and Coles Mini Classics Almond Ice Cream products have been recalled for those with a best before date of 16 June 2020 and 17 April 2020 for the vanilla product and 18 April 2020 for the almond product.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has warned that "food products containing metal may cause injury if consumed".

Customers are advised to not eat the product.

Any of these ice creams purchased can be returned to any Coles supermarket for a full refund.

If you are concerned about your health, seek medical advice.
