Driver Filmed Doing Burnouts While Being Towed On Freeway

Video has emerged of a car doing burnouts while being towed along the Hume Freeway in Victoria.

The footage shows plumes of smoke pouring out of the back of the vehicle, which is being towed back to Melbourne from Winton Motor Raceway near Benalla, according to Nine News.

The report says that the vehicle was driving in a three-day Performance Car Mania event over the weekend, with the people in the video participating in the event for the last three years.

Organisers of the event told Nine News that they will be banned indefinitely.

It is understood that police are investigating the matter, with charges such as 'improper use of a motor vehicle' and 'reckless conduct' a possibility of being laid.
