Police are asking for help with locating a Queensland woman who went missing last night.

Detectives believe Jessica Hamill, 20, went missing from her Limpet Avenue home at Port Douglas sometime around midnight and hasn't been seen since.

Ms Hamill is described as being a Caucasian woman about 170cms tall and of medium build, with blue eyes and sandy blonde hair.

Police hold concerns for her safety and believe Jessica may be in the company of a man aged in his mid-twenties, who may be holding her against her will.

They are possibly travelling in a dirty black coloured 2012 model Holden Commodore station wagon with unknown registration details. The vehicle has black wheels fitted.

Police are urging the community to report any sightings of this vehicle, which is similar in appearance to the one pictured.
