A police operation this morning has uncovered a plot to import more than 100 kilograms of ice and cocaine from Mexico and 500 kilograms of cocaine from Colombia - worth a combined street value of $200 million.

Five people were arrested in Australia in relation to the bust, with three in Sydney and two in Adelaide.

It is understood that the plot was organised from Australia.

“The drugs were sourced from Mexico and were to be sourced from Colombia, but this was an Australian conspiracy,” Detective Superintendent Scott Cook from the State Crime Command's Organised Crime Squad said.

Two of the men arrested were located at a parking lot in Darling Harbour, while another man was found at a house in Epping.

A man and a woman were also arrested in Adelaide.
