Former Roosters and Broncos player Martin Kennedy is facing further charges regarding his role in an exotic animal smuggling ring.

Kennedy appeared before court yesterday following further charges relating to illegally importing and exporting native and international endangered animals.

He is accused of committing 41 offences in total.

Federal police raided his Bondi home in March and found $100,000 in cash and several snakes. It is alleged that rare animals were imported and exported, including sugar gliders, freshwater stingrays and veiled chameleons.
