Harvey Weinstein Has Handed Himself In To Police Over Sexual Assault Charges

Disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein has handed himself into the New York police department to face sexual assault charges.

Weinstein went to an NYPD precinct just after 7am New York time surrounded by a media throng.

He is set to be fingerprinted and formally charged before being taken to Manhattan Supreme Court.

Weinstein will be released on $2 million bail and made to wear an ankle tag, according to the Telegraph in the UK.

Former actress Lucia Evans told the New Yorker that she would be pressing charges over an incident a meeting in Weinstein’s office in 2004.

It is not clear if Weinstein will be charged in connections with allegations from other women.
