iPhone Users Beware: There's A Scam Targeting Your Phone

Can you tell if it's fake?

There's a new scam doing the rounds, and this time iPhone users are the target.

The phishing scam requests users to enter their Apple ID, and the interface looks almost indistinguishable from the real Apple pop-up.

The fake input forms mirror the 'sign in to iTunes Store' prompter, and even experts are struggling to identify the scam.

Due to the nature and frequency of these pop-ups normally, little thought is given to entering the password - meaning that many are likely to fall for the scam.

The only way to ensure your phone isn't compromised is to only enter your password via the 'settings' option, instead of using the pop-up box.

Also, if you press the home button the dialog box and any open app closes, it was likely a phishing attack.
