Three men who allegedly sexually harassed and sexually abused a group of woman at the Jeff Horn-Manny Pacquiao fight have been handed a two-year ban from all Stadium Queensland venues.

The men where filmed by Network 10 reporter Tegan George, who was one of the targets of their alleged derogatory comments and extremely foul language - behaviour that has been condemned by Queensland's Sport Minister Mick de Brenni.

“There is no place for sexism, harassment and racism in Queensland and there is no place for racism and sexism at our stadiums,” Mr de Brenni said.

“The behaviour that has been reported is deeply offensive and it’s disgraceful.

“Yesterday I asked Stadiums Queensland to advise me what options they could take with regards to this behaviour and I have endorsed a two-year ban.”

Warning: Extremely course language

Former ABC and Seven network reporter Sally Prosser, who was also a victim of alleged abuse along with George and fellow Network 10 reporter Clare Banes, has welcomed the banning of the three men from all Stadium Queensland venues.

“We’re pleased authorities have taken this matter seriously and acted swiftly,” Ms Prosser said in a statement on behalf of the women.

“The reason we spoke out was to send a clear message that this sort of behaviour is not acceptable.

“All women should have the right to go to a sporting event of any type and not be subjected to vile sexual harassment and abuse.”

Queensland Stadium venues include: The Gabba, Suncorp Stadium, Metricon Stadium, Cbus Stadium, 1300Smiles Stadium (Townsville), the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre and Queensland Tennis Centre and Sleeman Sports Complex.
