Qantas has hit back at the Perth man who shoved a lemon meringue pie into the face of Qantas CEO Alan Joyce.

67 year old Tony Overheu has been banned from flying with the airline for life.

He also won't be able to fly with any of Qantas' partner airlines, which includes Jetstar, Cathay Pacific and Emirates.

He is due to face court next month over the incident at a business breakfast to protest against same-sex marriage.

At the time Alan Joyce said the stunt was unacceptable.

He faces multiple charges over last Tuesday's business breakfast event and will appear before Perth Magistrates Court on June 7.

OH, and just in case you've forgotten what the pie throwing looked like...
