Labor has secured the most seats but Annastacia Palaszczuk has not claimed victory in the Queensland election.
However she is confident that Labor will form government in it's own right.
Two Gold Coast seats are undecided - Bonney and Gaven.
The final results will be determined by preferences.
Counting resumes Sunday 9am.

At the end of counting tonight, Labor had 43 seats, the LNP 37 and Katter's Australian Party two.

However she says she's confident that Labor will manage to secure enough seats to form government in it's own right.

A late surge from the LNP has thrown the election outcome into doubt.
While Annastacia Palaszczuk's Labor party leads the vote count, there is now uncertainty it will win enough seats to rule in it's own right.
A number of seats that were being attributed to Labor earlier tonight, have now moved into the undecided category.
Whatever the count, the LNP has suffered a 8 percent fall in the primary vote across the state.

Annastacia Palaszczuk has been the first female Premier returned to government, with Labor likely to win enough seats to rule in it's own right.
The LNP suffered a 8 percent fall in the primary vote across the state; it's Treasury spokesman Scott Emerson in danger of losing his seat to the Greens.
One Nation divided the LNP's vote in the regional areas, while Labor picked up enough seats to offset losses outside south east Queensland.
It looks as though One Nation has secured at least one seat, perhaps two depending on preferences.

Annastacia Palaszczuk has been returned as Premier of Queensland with a Labor victory all but assured.
It's been a bad night for the LNP - they suffered a 8 percent fall in the primary vote across the state.
One Nation devastated the LNP vote in regional areas, while Labor picked up six seats previously held by the Opposition.
Deputy Premier Jackie Trad appears to have held off the challenge from Greens candidate Amy McMahon.
Labor leads with 42 seats, the LNP 36, with 15 undecided.

A ten percent loss in the primary vote for the LNP means the Palaszczuk Labor government will be returned.
Labor currently has secured 41 seats, just six short of forming government in it's own right - there are 15 seats still too close to call.
While One Nation has picked up a couple of seats, it's Queensland leader Steve Dickson has lost his seat in parliament.
As we approach 50 percent of the total votes counted - Labor will be returned to government in it's own right.

The LNP has suffered the loss of the seats of Gaven and Bonney on the Gold Coast, while the seat of Burleigh is too close to call at this stage.
Across Queensland, the LNP's primary vote has fallen by a massive 10 percent. Leader Tim Nicholls suffered a 5 percent swing against him in his own Brisbane seat of Clayfield.

Labor has picked up six seats currently held by the LNP, which has been hit hard by a 10 percent fall in it's primary vote.
While One Nation has recorded strong results in central and regional Queensland, it's state leader Steve Dickson has lost his seat in parliament, and is yet to declare a victory in any electorate.
At the moment Labor has secured 42 seats, the LNP 34, the Katter party has two seats, while there are 15 seats too close to call.
