There has been a bit of a hiccup following Amazon's Australian launch, with sellers reportedly hit with technical issues.

According to thenewdaily.com.au, sellers were informed by email that they should prepare to receive orders on November 23.

This coincided with a testing phase and soft launch.

However, some sellers have claimed that their full range of products weren't launched despite being submitted to the database.

While there has been substantial hype about the launch in Australia, there are now rumours that the service won't be widely available until 2018.

We have contacted Amazon for comment.
