Two men have spent a gruelling five days stuck in their bogged Holden Colorado surrounded by crocodiles in northern Western Australia.

Beau Bryce-Maurice, 37, and Charlie Williams, 19, recorded video farewells to their families after being forced to spend nights sleeping on the roof of their car after it got stuck in the water.

Their car was surrounded by crocodiles, with the pair and their dog having 26 bottles of water, some red meat, chips and 'some ciggies' inside the vehicle.

"We were surrounded by crocodiles last night … tried to attack my dog," Mr Bryce-Maurice said.

"We're going to stay positive, hopefully someone will come and get us.”

According to a report by Nine News, the two men were on a fishing trip.

The men were found by search crews five days after they set off.

Sergeant Grant Winslow from Broome Police praised the two men for staying with the car, which is recommended in this situation.
