Once again celebrities and the people of London have rallied together to support one another in times of hardship.

Following the huge fire in London's Grenfell Tower, hundreds of donations have been made to show support for the families and victims who have lost everything.

Jamie Oliver offered meals to victims at his restaurant and a number of the other celebrities have also been extending a helping hand.

The concerned local community without anyone asking have also turned out droves to help since the tower was engulfed in flames.

Volunteers including children have been collecting donations, making cups of tea and have been available for a chat since 2 am.

Donations are being sent to a storage centre in White City and from there they will go to various charities to ensure they go to those in need.

12 people have lost their lives and that number is expected to rise. Firefighters have reached the top floor of the building. At this stage the incident has been classified as a recovery mission.

Firefighters worked tirelessly through the night to control the inferno. Londoners have been showing gratitude for their tremendous work on social media.
