Life support of the Home and Away actress who's been clinging to life since losing her entire family in a Boxing Day car crash has now been switched off.

28 year old Jessica Falkholt has been clinging to life since her family's car collided head-on with a 4WD driven by a man we now know was on his way home from a methadone clinic.

Jessica's mother, father and sister were all killed in the crash and were farewelled at a joint funeral service in Sydney on Wednesday.

The family now faces the harrowing task of planning another funeral, for Jessica.

On Friday morning, NSW Police said there had been no official update on Jessica's condition, which was last listed as 'critical'.

It comes with more updates about the driver of the 4WD, who was also killed in the crash. 51 year old Craig Anthony Whitall reportedly had a criminal record detailing more than 60 driving offences.

Crash investigators are examining the cause of the accident and whether methadone played a part.
