Terrorism law reforms set to restrict the parole conditions of radicalised offenders are to be debated in NSW parliament today.

Under the reforms, premier Gladys Berejiklian said criminals would remain behind bars if they were found to pose an unacceptable risk to further offending, AAP reports.

"The threat of terrorism is evolving rapidly, that is why we are continuing to strengthen our laws," Ms Berejiklian said during question time.

"If an offender is found by the court to present an unacceptable risk then it's vital we have laws to protect the community against that danger.

"We don't move legislation this strong unless we believe it's in the community's interest."

Attorney-General Mark Speakman introduced the Terrorism (High-Risk Offenders) Bill 2017 to parliament yesterday.
