As much as you want share your support for marriage equality, don't go posting a photo of your same-sex marriage survey voting forms on social media.

That's the warning from the Australian Bureau of Stats after the documents started landing in mail boxes.

Authorities say it could it could jeopardise individual results, if people make public the unique barcodes on each form.
It's because the barcodes are designed to make sure each eligible person only votes once.

Australia Post is currently sending out 600 forms each day to reach the 16 million people on the electoral roll so they can have their say.
