Police have revealed they have more questions than answers after a teenage girl from West Africa was kept as a sex slave in Sydney.

The 17 year-old was rescued by a good Samaritan known only as Nicole and authorities have made a plea for her to make contact.

Nicole drove the victim to an inner west asylum seeker centre three weeks ago, police need her to come forward so they can narrow down where the she was held.

The girl from Guinea says she met a man in January who offered to bring her to Australia as his cleaner.

In April, the pair travelled to Paris then Sydney where she was kept in a room and sexually assaulted by a number of men.

On April 27, the girl managed to escape the home and was found in distress by Nicole who picked her up in a small red car.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or the AFP on 131 237.
