The owner of a gorgeous four-year-old labrador who was randomly stabbed to death in a Perth park has spoken of her shock and heartbreak.

It comes as the man alleged to have attacked her pet dog is released on bail.

Owner Bridgette watched on in horror as Luna was stabbed by a passer by while she was walking her at a park in Mirabooka early Wednesday evening.

The man then disappeared into the night.

Bridgette rushed four-year-old Luna to the vet but she tragically died from her injuries.

“I just squeezed her as tight as I could,” Bridgette said.

"I felt her heart, and I couldn't feel anything. I couldn't feel her breathing, she was gone within seconds.

It was a malicious attack,” she said.

"Luna was my baby. Luna was my first dog".

People have been laying tributes for Luna today.
