A 97 year old man is facing domestic violence charges after allegedly pushing his wife to the ground during an argument at Redhead.
The 80 year old woman fractured her leg and neck and suffered facial injuries during the incident in Kerle Street at around 7pm Wednesday night.
She's in a stable condition in John Hunter Hospital.
Her husband, who uses a walking stick, was arrested at the scene and taken to Belmont police station where he was charged with recklessly causing grievous bodily harm.
He was also served with an AVO and will appear in Belmont Local Court on July 3.
