Commuters can expect nightmares while travelling on the Hunter train network tomorrow thanks to strike action.
There's currently just four services running between the Newcastle Interchange and Central Station during the morning peak on the Newcastle Central Coast Line.
Trains will depart at 5:44am, 6:54am, 7.44am and 8.54am.
Parliamentary Secretary for the Hunter Scot McDonald is urging people to reconsider travelling to Sydney for work if possible, with train travel in the city during the afternoon peak expected to be chaotic.
"People might want to change their work arrangements for Thursday and Monday as well."
"Even if you can get down to Sydney there's going to be a lot of congestion and a lot of inconvenience down that end."
While there's five services running from the Newcastle Interchange to Telarah on the Hunter Line during the morning peak.
Trains will depart at 5:59am, 6:59am, 7:59am, 8:20am and 8:59am.
