It's shaping up as a great Easter long weekend in the Hunter for the outdoors.
The BOM is forecasting a warm and mostly sunny four-day break across the region.
Good Friday is tipped to be the hottest day, reaching 34 degrees in Cessnock and Singleton.
It'll be warm along the coast too, with the temperature climbing to 28 degrees at Nobbys.
Easter Saturday will be partly cloudy and a bit cooler, before it warms up again for a sunny Easter Sunday.
However it wouldn't be a proper Easter long weekend in the Hunter without some wet weather.
A shower or two is forecast for Easter Monday.
