There's growing support to relocate the Newcastle Entertainment Centre closer to McDonald Jones Stadium, as part of the proposed Broadmeadow Sport and Recreation Precinct.
Venues NSW CEO Paul Doorn says it's one of several ideas that's been raised during the current consultation period, which ends on Thursday.
"We'll take on people's feedback, we'll start to delve into detail things like other residential across the site, what does that mean for moving potentially the Entertainment Centre from its current location much closer to the stadium," he said.
"We can then start building some models around what infrastructure might be required to set up us for the next 10 to 20 years."
The NSW government flagged the idea of moving the Entertainment Centre, when it released its concept plan for the Broadmeadow site in May.
