Jets Confirm Harry Kewell Wants Vacant Coaching Job

Newcastle Jets CEO Lawrie McKinna has confirmed he’s received interest from Harry Kewell to take on the vacant coaching role at the A-League club.

But despite the former Socceroos’ high profile and success in Australia and overseas, he’s no guarantee for the top job.

Hear Lawrie speak about Kewell’s interest here:

Liverpool great Robbie Fowler has also flagged interest in coaching the Jets.

The legendary striker told News Corp Australia he "would be interested if everything was right."

The Englishman was reportedly interested in the job last year before the appointment of Mark Jones, who was axed last week after the club claimed the
wooden spoon.
