We're getting a reprieve from winter today as temperatures soar across the Hunter.
The mercury is forecast to reach 27 degrees at Maitland, Wallsend and Toronto.
That's slightly warmer than Cairns in Far North Queensland, which is tipped to reach 26 degrees.
Newcastle, Cessnock, Raymond Terrace and Singleton are forecast to hit 26 degrees, which will break July weather records.
But make the most of it, temps are set to fall back into the high-teens this week along with isolated showers.
