Tragic new details have surfaced following the death of a man who was crushed by his own car in East Branxton.
Police say the 40-year-old went to get into his Kia 4WD parked in the garage of his Harvest Court home at around 9:30pm Wednesday night.
It's believed he decided to roll the car forward before starting the engine in order not to wake members of his household.
However he got caught behind the car as it rolled down a slight slope in the driveway, causing him to hit his head against a brick wall.
His wife went to check on him at around 11pm, and made the grim discovery.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
