Three people are recovering from smoke inhalation after a fierce fire tore through a home at Cooranbong this morning.
Emergency services were called to Freemans Drive just after 6:30am, where they found the home engulfed in flames.
A 30 year old man and his 51 year old carer were rescued from their burning house by neighbours.
The younger man was pulled out unconscious.
They were both treated from smoke inhalation, along with one of the rescuers.
All three are now in a stable condition in John Hunter Hospital.
"It was quite an intense fire and it was pleasing no one was trapped inside," NSW Ambulance Inspector Graham Rathbone said.
An investigation is now underway into the cause of the blaze.
