EARLIER: Police have issued a warning for parents and children, after a stranger danger incident outside Swansea High School.

A 4WD stopped in front of a 12 year old boy between 9am and 9:20am Thursday morning.

The male driver had a conversation with the boy which police say "made him feel uncomfortable".

The boy reported the incident to the school and police were called.

The man's described as being Caucasian, aged in his mid to late 40's, short hair, with a close cropped beard.

He was driving a brown or burgundy coloured 4WD that may have been an 80's model Toyota Landcruiser or Mitsubishi Pajero.

The 4WD had roof racks, a bull bar and chrome rims.
