She's won an event in the Philippines
Merewether surfer Philippa Anderson has claimed victory at an event in the Philippines.
She beat fellow Aussie Mikaela Greene in the final of the inaugural World Surf League sanctioned Siargo Women's International Surfing Cup at Cloud 9.
Anderson produced the highest heat score of the entire event in the final, 17.17.
“This has been a fantastic event, all the girls have been surfing great and I’m really relieved to take the win here,” Anderson said.
“In the final nothing was going to plan early and then suddenly in the last 10 minutes I found the waves I was planning on, surfed them as powerfully as I could and took the win - It’s been a great time here for all of us!”
