A man's under police guard in hospital after crashing his motorbike trying to flee police at Swansea.
Officers gave chase on the Old Pacific Highway just after 11pm Thursday after noticing the bike didn't have any headlights on.
The 26 year old refused to stop, leading police on a high-speed pursuit to Murrays Beach.
The rider lost control, colliding with a tree.
He ran off on foot, only to be tracked down a short time later by a police dog.
Police say he had a number of outstanding warrants for domestic violence offences.
It's claimed he was in possession of ice, cannabis, house breaking implements, drug scales and cash.
He's expected to face several charges once he's released from hospital.
